Torah Life on Campus

  • The learning program will be overseen by top Torah personalities, including Rabbanit Shani Taragin as Rosh Beit Midrash, and will feature classes in Tanach, Halacha, and Jewish thought, as well as a beit midrash option with chavruta learning.

How it Works

Students are expected to complete their academic coursework in the following order:

Use your YU-affiliated Israel seminary credits to fulfill your first year

YEAR 2/3

On campus at YU in Israel and either Tel Aviv University or Bar-Ilan University

YEAR 4

Courses and instruction facilitated by YU, along with one summer semester at the YU campuses in New York

Are Jewish studies required for the program?

Can I get Jewish studies credit if I stay for shana bet?

If at any point I want to depart from the sequential program, whether switching to YU in New York, or changing my major, will my credits transfer?

Will men's and women's Jewish studies both be on the YU in Israel campus, and will they be separate?

Upon completion of the degree programs, will I have market-ready career opportunities and/or a pathway to graduate programs in Israel and abroad?

Can I transfer into the program after being enrolled in and attending another school?

If I spend my post-high school year in Israel in a seminary that is not part of S. Daniel Abraham Israel Program (SDAIP), will I still be eligible for YU in Israel? What if my seminary is not affiliated with YU?
