Required Application Materials
To complete your transfer application, please submit the following:
1. Online Application
Complete the YU Undergraduate Application and select “Transfer.”
2. Official College Transcripts
From all colleges and universities attended.
3. Final High School Transcript
(only required if you completed less than 30 college credits) Make sure your transcript is official and has a date of graduation.
4. Letter of Recommendation
Preferably from a college professor or instructor. A high school teacher recommendation may also be accepted. Through your portal, you’ll be able to email them a secure link to upload their letter directly.

College Credit Evaluation
YU typically accepts credits from regionally accredited institutions, provided a grade of C or better was earned and the course aligns with YU’s curriculum. Each transcript is evaluated individually after admission.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
Transfer students are eligible for merit-based scholarships and need-based financial aid. Make sure to submit the FAFSA to be considered. Visit our Scholarships and Aid page for more.
Dual Curriculum Consideration
YU’s dual curriculum requires planning for proper credit transfer and placement into Judaic Studies courses. Academic advisors will work with you to develop a personalized plan.
