Sharpen your counseling skills and change lives in your community.
Flexibility: spend 3.5 weeks starting in July completing coursework from anywhere in our Live Virtual Classroom format. Field work is completed in your hometown during the year. The program is tailored to the unique demands of a rabbinic schedule.
Skills: at Wurzweiler we work to develop counseling skills that are already a central part of your rabbinic experience — in a professional manner that provides a university degree.
Opportunity: as a summer block student, you will have access to the same opportunities as traditional students — including small class sizes, individual advising, writing center tutors, and licensing test preparation. Our degree allows you to professionalize years of rabbinic counseling experience, and open a private practice to bring in additional streams of income.
"By combining the best of the rabbinic field with a truly sophisticated MSW education, Wurzweiler School of Social Work is preparing rabbis to be frontline change-agents in confronting a wide range of emerging challenges that face today’s Jewish community and family. As rabbis are already heavily engaged with community members on a daily basis, they are perfectly positioned to help drive this necessary change through the tools that a Wurzweiler social-work education can provide."
