Course Development Process

Course Development Process

At the heart of every successful online program is thoughtful course design. Through our AI-assisted Course Constructor and dedicated instructional design team, YU Global works closely with faculty to translate their scholarship into dynamic, engaging digital learning environments.

Courses are developed in focused 8–10 week sprints, a structured process that brings clarity, efficiency, and collaboration to course creation. The result is:

  • Professionally designed learning experiences

  • Interactive and visually engaging course environments

  • Academically rigorous content refined for digital delivery

This model combines faculty expertise with strategic design support. Faculty remain at the center of the academic process shaping curriculum, defining learning outcomes, and ensuring intellectual integrity. Our role is to elevate and amplify their expertise, not replace it, providing the tools and infrastructure that allow their work to reach learners effectively in an online format.

In FY ’27, more than 51 new courses will be developed using this model. This expansion represents more than increased production. It reflects growing institutional capacity the ability to scale high-quality online learning while maintaining the academic standards that define Yeshiva University.

Through disciplined process and thoughtful innovation, we are building courses that extend faculty impact and expand access across the University.
